L.A. is a great big city. Downtown and Hollywood are close to
Chavez Ravine. Downtown puts you close to other
cultural centers, such as the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Don't stay in beautiful downtown Burbank, but do consider Studio City.
Pasadena is also quite close, and is a lovely city, although smoggy in the summer.
